2012 – The Year of the Internet in Trinidad and Tobago
The Internet Society Trinidad & Tobago Chapter (ISOCTT) has labelled 2012 “The Year of the Internet in Trinidad and Tobago”. The Society is commencing its activities by holding a series of seminars featuring Mr.Sébastien Bachollet from 9 to 13 January 2012.
About Mr. Sébastien Bachollet.
Mr. Sébastien Bachollet is a member of Board of Directors of ICANN (At-large Seat) and IFFOR (Vice-Chair). He is heavily engaged in Internet issues in particular, with the ICANN New TLDs Evaluation, Freedom of Expression, Privacy and Child Protection.
The Internet Society Trinidad & Tobago Chapter is now chartered!
As a full-fledged Chapter of the Internet Society International we are labeling 2012 as ‘The Year of the Internet’ in Trinidad and Tobago. Our events will kick start with an appreciation and celebration of the Chapter formation in the week of 8th January 2012 where we will have Mr. Sebastien Bachollet, ICANN and IFFOR Board Member speaking on Internet related issues including online freedom of expression, child protection and the new gTLD programme. Details will follow.
The Trinidad and Tobago Chapter of the Internet Society will hold its official launch during the Regional Internet Governance Forum from 8 to 11 August 2011.
